Cargo Trailer Options Department

After a trailer leaves final finish, if there are special features to be added to the trailer it will enter the options area.

This is typically not an assembly line area. Each trailer normally sits in the same place until it is completed.

Adding options to a trailer requires more time and work. Completion time can be extended significantly depending on the options to be installed.

There are many features that can be added to a trailer which differ depending on the brand.

Here are just a few:

  • Wall coverings
  • Special floor coverings
  • Air conditioning
  • Cabinets
  • Lighting/wiring
  • Plumbing/bathroom/sinks
  • Concessions equipment
  • Insulation
  • Tie downs

Many cargo trailer brands build some trailers with specific options.

One example is a race package, sometimes called “Race Ready”, “Sport”, or another similar name. This package will include special flooring, wall covering, cabinets, and other features that would be common in a trailer that is used to transport and store a race car.

Features can vary with this package depending on brand.  Make sure you read the list of features carefully when comparing prices.
