The metal ball that connects to the end of the receiver/drawbar. The coupler on the trailer fits over over the ball. There are different size balls depending on the trailer weight. It is important to match the trailer ball size with the size specified on the coupler. Failure to use the right size ball can cause the trailer to come off the ball and result in a serious injury and damage to the trailer and/or other vehicles.
