I purchased a 7×16, tandem wheeled trailer. Homesteader fixed a problem on the trailer, and it came out just as I wanted. TN to NY trip, and it hauled beautifully, loaded and unloaded.
I recently purchased a new 2020 Homestead Intrepid 8.5’x24′ V nose enclosed trailer with front door and full rear fold down ramp. It came with 5600# Dexter dual axles, and electric brakes. I got it from FRT Trailers in North Carolina. FRT is great place to buy 1. Super Pro place. FRT had all the paperwork done prior to my arrival, and I was back on my way with the new trailer in less than an hour.
The trailer build quality was great. I am very pleased with the build quality, and attention to detail. LED rear warning and top side marker lighting was standard on it.
It pulls great, empty or loaded. I was actually surprised how stable it was during crosswinds, or when passing bug trucks. The shorter V nose makes it less susceptible to crosswind sway. Nice steel I beam frame construction that was also very well designed and manufactured.
I would highly recommend Homestead Trailers. Homestead would e my 1st choice when I purchase another 1
Very happy with it. A truly stellar piece of equipment.
Approximately 5 years ago I bought a 7 x 16 V-nose ramp door trailer. Bought in Louisville, KY. Far from my first trailer. Very few issues and all were minor. NEVER let me down I transported, stored and serviced my Fiat Altered drag car in it. Carry car, tools, fuel and supplies. Many miles down the hiways. I’d buy another for the price. Use it properly and treat accordingly it will service you well.
Not happy with how Homesteader dealt with my leaking roof. It leaked from day 1 and got worse.
I wouldn’t recommend
The trailers are well designed but terrible craftmanship don’t even balance rims and tires.
