Bought the trailer brand new. it is a Pace American Outback enclosed 7 by 16 ,the roof has been replaced several times. Seams and screw holes keep splitting and cracking. Then it leaks!
POS! Last time I ever buy a Georgia trailer. BEWARE OF THESE CARGO TRAILERS!
- CONS:Brakes locked up screws broken and falling out door spring and cable loose on one side side marker light falling off all with in first 30 days it's been 40 plus days and still don't have title
I bought a 2018 Look Vision 8 1/2′ x 20′ V nose a short time ago. I’ve had many trailers, Pace, Hallmark, Wells Cargo and a couple of cheaper units and the Look so far hs proven to be a well built, solid trailer. The one I bought has the walls and ceiling lined, the floor is painted with what they call the sand floor, torsion axles, 36″ side door, extra tall, radial tires and aluminum wheels. There are a few other extras that come with the vision package also but so far I can’t find anything I don’t like about the trailer. I had a 2017 Mirage that was the same size and it was very cheaply made. I was very unhappy with it but it is a low-cost trailer. I like the fact that the Look Vision’s outside walls are bonded to the upright frame instead of riveted. It looks flat and clean instead of a wavy mess like many other trailers. It also has an extended tongue, 5 1/2′ and the V nose is 3′ long giving me extra room for my winch, battery, and shelves. It also came with radial tires, unlike many other trailers. We’ll see how it holds up but I am very happy with it so far.
+ PROS: Well built, Looks very good, lots of standard options with the Vision package, tows very well
Bought a Look Element about 6 years ago. What a piece of crap. I needed it bad when I got it and after waiting for it to be built I took it with it’s flaws but now regret doing that. The generator door was cut crooked. The trim at the rear door was messed up and Look wouldn’t replace it. It was supposed to come with a generator compartment but that got missed at the factory. My dealer install the generator compartment. After a few years the generator door rotted out. It was just OSB and the way it was manufactured it got wet every time it rained until it fell apart. I could go on. I had to replace it and I like my dealer. He said he would get me a better quality Look trailer. I was and am skeptical. He said 10 weeks to get it manufactured. I’m now on week 13 and no trailer. I’m not impressed. I guess I need to change dealers.
+ PROS: If I can ever think of anything I'll let you know.
- CONS:Poor construction. Poor workmanship. Poor materials. Generally a piece of junk.
This seems to be a trailer, the kind ya get what ya pay for. Very piss poor workmanship. Will never buy another or recommend to others. Had 2 days and took back to dealer cause side waz missing screws. Very piss poor workmanship.
+ PROS: Light and inexpensive..
- CONS:Multiple screws missing. Rear side clearence lights installed crooked. Door trim around rear ramp door loose and missing screws on one side.
Purchased a Pace American PXT 16′ enclosed trailer on 2-21-19 for $7060.00 and can’t even get a courteous response. Trailer jack has no skid plate, fasteners on exterior trim broke off, screws into metal support shavings left on fastener which is rusting on siding, OSB flooring screws missed framing, interior roof steel painted on some and others rusting do to know primer or paint, rear aluminum trim bent where installer put bolt to ramp in backward, rear roof corner leaking as no caulk.
The only response when I sent email and pictures to info contact was Heather would send it to a production manager.
+ PROS: 16" centers on supports are better than 24" with my loads
They were great in begining sent a tech whinh in thankful for . Long story short , i kept blowing fuses only to find out charging system was wires wrong , tech could not fibd issue, was disappointed1
When, when am I going to learn to read these reviews before I buy something?? I bought a 6 by 12 Pace Journey SE trailer and it has several manufacturing defects. In my humble opinion this trailer is a piece of junk. I wish I could take it back buy another brand if I were you I would not buy one single product from this company And dealing with their customer service is an absolute nightmare. And I’ve been basically told that they will fix these manufacturing defects according to what they want to do, and they’ve told me I can take it or leave it
+ PROS: None
- CONS:Do yourself a favor, read reviews of anything made by this company and buy something else
PIECE OF JUNK!!!! Purchased a 7×16 Journey trailer with a drop down door in February 2020, within a week one of the door cables came unwound and I had to have an overhead door company rewind it. At this moment, both door cables are off, when that happened the wood covering above the door broke loose. Then if that wasn’t enough, the center hinge on the drop down door broke, due to only having about 3 welds. I’m waiting for Pace to respond to see what they plan on doing. I owned a United Trailer for 10 years prior and not once did I have to replace anything. SAVE YOUR MONEY, don’t buy Pace.
2005 28 ft pace enclosed trailer I purchased new. The roof on these trailers were galvanized and mine has now rusted clean out I will be replacing it with aluminum roofing . I need the fiberglass cap that goes on the nose it is cracked from the sun. I contacted pace and right off the bat they informed me they didn’t build the trailer in 2005 they took the company over in 2011 which I don’t know what the hell that’s got to do with anything. They were absolutely no help to me trying to locate the roof cap or one that would work . they told me to call E trailer or redneck trailer parts both companies said to me they have no idea why Pace would recommend them they don’t carry parts like that. I would never purchase a trailer again that has the name pace on it . real poor customer service buyer beware.
On 4/30/20, while I was towing my 2018 Pace Elite 20′ enclosed aluminum car hauler on I-24 in IL, the roof came loose at the front and ripped its way back like a sardine can lid to the skylight, which broke but fortunately stopped the roof from completely ripping off. I had to pay $736.24 to Country Blacksmith Trailers, Mt Vernon IL, to fabricate and install the front 8′ of the roof, which took most of the day, plus I had to pay for an extra night on the road.
The trailer has less than 7000 miles on it and I only use it to haul vintage cars to high-level Concours and AACA events.
Pace / Look trailers has an inadequate 1-year warranty, which had expired, but even my 2 small claims during the warranty period were not pleasant, and the woman I dealt with then treated me like I was lying about those. I now understand why they have such a limited warranty.
In July I sent a letter asking Pace / Look to pay for at least my repair cost. After no response until 10/6/20 Bill Gallagher, Manager of Warranty and Parts, finally responded with the company stance about the 1-year warranty but conceded a small partial (quote) “one time customer service good will gesture” reimbursement as settlement, which I turned down on the principle that the company is thumbing its nose at a serious quality control issue. My opinion is that Pace / Look obviously doesn’t care about customer retention or future sales.
