Cheapest trailer on the market…for a reason! I regret ever giving these people my money. leaks all over, aluminum is popping up, half the screws missed the studs, and rusting underneath before i even got it home. Please, please, please, whatever you do, know that if a trailer is cheap it’s cheap for a reason.
If you want a cheap trailer and understand that you will get what you pay for, the trailer is ok. Quality of plywood is low grade and overall build is poor. I bought one because I won’t be keeping it too long and I’ll sell it.
South GA is honestly not a bad trailer at all for the price! Sure you can spend [a lot] more money and get one with all the bells and whistles, and all the fit and finish done to a t, But really, for the money, they do a pretty good job. A great knock around trailer, made to work with, use, and doesn’t cost so much that its a disaster if your guys bang it up. Buy it, use it, put some miles on it, then it wont break the bank when decide to get another.
Bought a trailer from South Georgia Cargo. Price was over $10,000 so wasn’t looking for price. Paid $400 for a second door and did’t get it and they will NOT return my calls. I am willing to take it back for the install but they won’t return my calls.
Received everything I asked for Plus.. very good price. Steve and Candice treated us with true southern hospitality. When out of their way to make us happy
+ PROS: Great trailer for the price ....couldn't be happier !!!!
- CONS:If you think you are going to get a million dollar trailer for $5,000 don't bother...
Picked up my trailer this week from South Georgia cargo. Couldn’t ask for anything better got exactly what I asked for and more Steve and Candice were very helpful showed us true southern hospitality…..
I have bought several trailers from S.G.C. and I love them. They do the job and give great value for the money. South georgia cargo builds about 25 a day and I am sure there are hundreds of happy buyers, like myself, who never take the time to comment. It gripes me to see these whiney comments from people who expect the moon and stars on a popsicle budget. I have never known the people at S.G.C. to do anything but their best to please their customers.
+ PROS: Value,Value,Value
- CONS:If you want perfection you will have to wait for Heaven, beacuse you will not find it here on earth.
Ordered trailer (8.5X20 enclosed) on line, glad I wasn’t in a hurry because it took almost 5 weeks to build. Drove down to GA from OH to pick it up. They had failed to install 1 ramp handle and ramp wouldn’t latch properly. They corrected on the spot. I have owned 5 trailers, this one is by the cheapest made and poorest quality control I have ever seen. Front axle brake wire dropped of some place in travel. First trip front marker light wire shorted out due to how it was zipped tied to frame and blew out fuses in my 40′ diesel pusher RV. Missing screws, bad welds, uneven wood cuts, bad wire connections are a few of the issues. I am a mechanic and can correct some of the issues, but most are just poor and sloppy workmanship and can’t be corrected. I would NEVER buy another trailer made by this company.
this is by far the worst manufacture to go to the quality is the worst total junk for the $$$ the worst part of this is – trailer country knows it and openly concurs after the fact. save your $$ have freedom build it for you!!
Total waste of $$ and your time. workmanship is non existent at this location. this was my second trailer first one threw freedom three years ago and still no issues.
When you add your time, hassle factor and travel costs this is not a bargain. Saving a couple of hundred bucks will cost you twice the cost of the trailer when it is over. There is no free lunch. Just take a look at their ragged factory. How could you expect quality to come out of that.
+ PROS: Best prices around. Friendly staff.
- CONS:None so far. I've had my trailer for 8 months.
Bought a freedom trailer love it then bought one from here talk about junk what a disappointment!!
-Bad wiring, -Bad door gasket, -Junk plywood, -Scuffed up fender skirts, -Roof sealant all over, Loose landing leg, Mud all over it from towing it from whatever mud pit they had it stored and the worst customer assistance ever apparently all this is considered “cheap Quality Trailer”
+ PROS: its a trailer
- CONS:poor workmanship no quality at all. trailer had issues threw out - customer service for this location is the worst - save you money and invest elsewhere.
Let me tell you… I had a terrible experience with Candace. I don’t know who hired this woman but she lacks empathy and customer etiquette. I normally never post reviews, but she made me so upset so I guess there’s always a time for firsts. My dad purchased a trailer from makemytrailer and SGC is this place he had to pick up the trailer from. We live in NJ and had to figure out scheduling of when he could come down. We were able to settle with coming on Friday before 4PM to pick up the trailer. This was estimated to be a 15 hour drive, now on the drive down, my dad’s tire popped so he had to get that fixed, he drove through heavy rain, he ran into traffic due to a major accident, got ticketed for speeding and he was driving with 1 hour of sleep (he only slept to make sure he wouldn’t die driving). Now this man ended up taking 20 hours to get to the facility just to make it on time and Candace gave us so much attitude for arriving 40 minutes late. The man just went through hell and you couldn’t just understand his position, instead you go off yelling at me on the phone that you are staying past your shift, that you have things to do. Listen, that is not how you do business. A customer went out of his way to drive to your location to give you his business. You take that business and say thank you, not yell at a customer, especially after a 20 hour drive. I would avoid this place like the plague… at least until Candace leaves.

The trailer is very poor quality and not worth the money .pay a few extra hundred and get a trailer that will last longer than 2 years …….
