Wall and ceiling coverings

Luan – sometimes referred to as vinyl, is not really vinyl.

However, most brands do offer real vinyl as an option for the floors.

Luan, also spelled lauan, is a tropical hardwood plywood panel that is 1/4 or 1/8 inch thick.

It is mostly used on walls and ceilings as a covering option.

The veneers are glued together in layers to make a very soft plywood product with a smooth surface.

Because of its pliable nature, luan is an excellent product for cargo trailer walls and ceilings.

It comes in various shades like white or natural wood and can be finished smoother than plywood/OSB.

The white luan is sometimes called vinyl but is not actual vinyl. Laun is not water resistant at all and care should be taken not to get it wet.

Because it is used for cosmetic purposes only, it is not used for floors or ramps.
